Joy Ranch provides a safe, stable, and loving home founded on Christ’s love to boys and girls from crisis situations. We believe that each child who comes to us is first and foremost a kid and needs a safe, supportive environment; that means movie nights, water gun fights, homework time, road trips, chores, being silly, and all of the other typical parts of being a kid.

There is also another side to each of our kids: each child that comes to us comes from a difficult, painful situation. Many of our children have faced trauma, heartache, and loss, and many come from broken homes.

Our team receives ongoing training and understands that our children are in many ways typcial, goofy, growing kids, but each team member is also trained to recognize that all of our children come to us from a place of hurt and need.

Current Openings:

We are currently accepting applications for two Main House Parent positions and two Relief House Parent positions.

These are each full-time ministry positions working with children who have a trauma background. The ideal candidates will be Christian husband and wife teams able to work together to manage the daily cottage activities by exemplifying a healthy Christian home life. Single individuals may also apply. These ministry positions will also include teaching as part of the Joy Ranch homeschool program. Experience working with children is a requirement. Experience working with trauma will be given preference.

Both sets of House Parents will have a starting salary of $60,000+ per couple along with a benefits package which includes a campus apartment (utilities included).

Employee Benefits

Health Insurance

Joy Ranch provides health insurance coverage through Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield. The ministry pays $250.00 toward the employee’s coverage.  Dependent coverage is available.

Dental Insurance

Joy Ranch provides dental insurance coverage through Delta Dental. The ministry pays 100% of the premium including dependent coverage.

Life Insurance

Joy Ranch provides life insurance coverage for the employee in the amount of $25,000, plus an Accidental Death and Dismemberment provision, through Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield. The ministry pays 100% of the premium.

Simple IRA

Joy Ranch provides a Simple IRA after one year of employment whereby the ministry matches the employee’s contribution up to 3% of salary.

Paid Time Off Days for vacation, sickness, or personal needs are provided annually.
