Joy Ranch provides a safe, stable, and loving home to boys and girls from crisis situations. We believe that each child that comes to us is first and foremost a kid and needs a safe, supportive environment to be a kid; that means movie nights, water gun fights, homework time, road trips, chores, being silly, and all of the other typical parts of being a kid.
There is also another side to each of our kids: each child that comes to us comes from a difficult, painful situation. Many of our children have faced trauma, heartache, and loss, and many come from broken homes.
Our staff receive on-going training in order to understand, serve, and l best minister to both of these sides of our kids. Our team recognizes that our children are in many ways typcial, goofy, growing kids, but each team member is also trained to recognize that all of our children come to us from a place of hurt and need.
