Thank you to the Hillsville GFWC for their recent, generous donation to Joy Ranch!
GFWC Federation Day is celebrated on April 24 to commemorate the founding of the GF of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) on April 24, 1890 and is a day to reflect on the organization’s history and accomplishments.
The GFWC was formed on April 24, 1890 when 63 clubs ratified the GFWC Constitution. Federation Day is a time to reflect on the GFWC history, accomplishments and future to celebrate the organization’s mission of improving lives through volunteer service.
GFWC now has 3,000 clubs and 100,000 members worldwide. The mission is to improve the lives of others through volunteer service and to celebrate unity in diversity.
Our local Hillsville Club supports Federation Day and we do lots of community projects to help our schools, food pantries, homeless shelters and children’s homes. We welcome anyone interested.
