In Memory of James Monroe German

Brenda Pulido-Campau recently shared this and we wanted to pass along to you.

On Monday November 6, 2023 James Monroe German, Grandpa Jim to my daughter, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Jim was legally blind from childhood. He never let that stop him from serving God with his musical talents of playing the harmonica. His generosity of taking care of the people in Boomer, NC has saved countless lives by donating the land and helping with the funds to build a fire department/rescue squad. In latter years he and his wife Pat Norman German donated more land and the funds to build a medical helicopter pad.

He lived a life of faith. Always believing and knowing that God would provide. These are the values that Richard and Mary McHenry, founders of Joy Ranch Children’s Home, lived by. In Jim’s memory I am asking for donations to be sent to Joy Ranch. Like the McHenry’s, they never had children of their own. But their legacy lives on through my family. (Pat Norman German) was my house parent there for 5 years.

(Remember to put in memory of James Monroe German)
